Our Mission
The mission of Canine Care Tampa Bay is to improve the overall health of family pet dogs and cats, decrease the number of pets that are turned into shelters and abandoned, and decrease the number of pets that are euthanized due to their owners’ inability to afford proper healthcare.
Our Objective
The objective of Canine Care Tampa Bay is to financially assist pet owners with the cost of basic veterinary services for dogs and cats. For qualifying families, we pay a majority percentage of the vet bill at a highly respected, professional vet clinic to make it possible for families going through tough financial times to properly care for their pets’ wellness needs.

At Canine Care we realize that every situation is unique and if your pet has additional needs beyond wellness care, we will discuss a treatment plan and if Canine Care is able to assist. Canine Care is a non-profit organization dependent on donations from our supporters. Financial support is provided to qualified recipients and is determined at the sole discretion of Canine Care Tampa Bay. Canine Care support is limited to one visit unless prior approval is received from a Canine Care representative. All vet care associated with an approval will be provided by an approved Canine Care partner and must be completed within 30 days or re-application is required. Canine Care is neither funded nor staffed for emergencies. Please allow 48 hours for a Canine Care representative to be in touch with you after submission of your application.
Canine Care is proudly dedicated to the memory of Matt Morgan, Jim Berning, and my Dad, Ron Wilkie.
