Please be advised, Canine Care is neither funded nor staffed for emergencies.  Our focus is on preventive care and the treatment of minor injuries and ailments.

 

                                                          General qualification criteria:

• All pets in household must be spayed or neutered – we will be happy to refer you to a low-cost spay/ neuter clinic if needed

​

• Owners cannot be a breeder of dogs or cats

​

• Proof of income and/or financial hardship is required with application

​

• Financial assistance is limited to 1x per year per pet, exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis

• Due to limited funding, we will prioritize applicants who demonstrate the greatest need for assistance

​

• Veterinary care is only provided by an approved partner of Canine Care USA and must be pre-approved

 

• We generally do not assist with puppy or kitten wellness care as we expect that those who adopt a puppy or kitten do so with the financial ability to support their pet.  Please do not adopt a pet without understanding the long-term financial obligation for food, shelter, and veterinary care.​
